Christopher Nkunku's spell at RB Leipzig came to an end when he decided to join the Premier League side, Chelsea. The Frenchman's performance at Leipzig was splendid, scoring 47 goals in 119 Bundesliga appearances for the club. These very statistics attracted Chelsea to the striker, which made them sign him on a six-year £52 million deal.
Unfortunately, the French man had a knee injury on his third appearance for the Blues against his former Bundesliga rival, Borussia Dortmund, during the pre-season. Due to this injury, Chelsea fans might not see him play till the very end of 2023
On the other hand, Chelsea's new captain, Reece James, suffered a hamstring injury during training earlier this season, but he could be back in action after the international break.
